@peripheralgirl- and shoes! We can't forget the shoes! (but then, it just occurred to me that I'm still working on a degree that almost certainly won't improve my housing, hair or footwear situations. Maybe I'm the crazy one?)

@orangerful- Oh yeah, the quote, I missed that. "It's never too late to become who you might have been." I'm not even sure it's grammatically correct, for starters. And yes, the Yahoo women's site should definitely feature this ad. I'm glad to know these people understand women, since I clearly don't!

It's also nice to see that the primary concerns of female college grads are home and hair. Thanks, Daniel Webster College!

Yeah, the first person is clearly way more interesting. And what kind of smart-ass phrase is "and a paycheck to match". wtf does that mean? There are plenty of rich slobs and nice looking "poor" people. And that quote? Horrible. You are not crazy, this add is insulting. (But I expect to see it featured on Yahoo's site for "Women who want really bad $65 hair cuts".

ah-parents. yes that makes a bit more sense. Maybe this is how parents think of their slacker offspring.

See, my theory is that the ad agency had this idea of setting unsuccessful up against successful, but then no matter how they portrayed the first person she ended up looking cooler than the second one. So that's how the first person ended up all lopsided and spazzy. It's the only way they could decoolify her, and even then it didn't really work.

Clearly the punk look and roommate sharing is not a choice. They would much rather be judged by the price of their haircut.

Sad thing is, it's probably working. Maybe it's directed towards parents?
